Women's telehealth company Wisp announced a strategic partnership with Vesalius Longevity Labs, a company that provides regenerative medicine, to develop an exclusive range of peptide therapies aimed at advancing women’s quality of life and promoting longevity.
Wisp and Vesalius Longevity Labs will assess emerging longevity AI platforms, including AI tools that strengthen personalized care, clinical decision support and patient engagement, for possible integration into its services.
The two companies will also explore opportunities for strategic investment in AI tools that boost personalized care, clinical decision support and patient engagement.
Wisp focuses on birth control, fertility issues, menopause and STI testing. The company's licensed medical providers review patient information within one to two hours and prescribe medication for pick-up at a patient's local pharmacy.
Most prescriptions are sent to a pharmacy within three hours of completing a medical intake form, phone call or video chat.
Vesalius Longevity Labs gives independent licensed healthcare providers access to peptide delivery systems. The company's product portfolio includes injectables, patches, nasal sprays, oral peptides and topical formulations.
Monica Cepak, CEO of Wisp, said in a statement that the company's mission is to make advanced therapeutics attainable and inexpensive for women.
"By partnering with Vesalius, we are introducing peptides into women’s healthcare and expanding access to a powerful tool that can transform how women age," Cepak said in a statement.
THE LARGER TREND
In September, Wisp announced the expansion of its weight care offerings to include name-brand GLP-1s. Patients can access weight loss treatments with savings up to 50% with no insurance required.
In June, Sweet Earth Holdings entered into a definitive business combination agreement with Vesalius Longevity Labs (Canada) and Vesalius Longevity Labs (SPV).
In a Linkedin post, Kevin Rabbitt, CEO and founder of Vesalius, said: "The combination amplifies our capabilities and accelerates our mission of leading the way in the most transformative and impactful health theme of our time. We are leading a new era of health innovation, one built on integrity, transparency, thought leadership, and the highest-quality products and customer experience."
In May, Wisp launched its diagnostics vertical Wisp At-Home Testing & Follow-Up Care, which provides patients with at-home test kits for various health conditions, enabling them to collect samples and receive results without needing to visit a clinic in-person.
In March, Wisp and female pelvic floor and physical therapy company Origin partnered to allow their members to access each other's services.
Through the partnership, Wisp members have access to Origin's therapies for postpartum healing, improving pain during sex, pre-pregnancy strengthening and symptoms associated with vaginal infections, such as urinary tract infections.
Additionally, Origin patients will receive a discount to use Wisp's offerings, including fertility and menopause products and UTI and sexually transmitted infection care.
In 2024, Wisp announced a strategic partnership with food as medicine platform Nourish to allow Wisp patients to access nutrition counseling services via its health insurance or an exclusive self-pay rate.
The aim was to make it easier for women looking for a more holistic approach to weight management to access nutrition support at an affordable price.
In addition, patients enrolled in Wisp’s new weight care program can merge medical weight loss treatments with personalized nutrition counseling from Nourish.
